UAE Family Visas

The UAE allows residents to sponsor their immediate family members, including spouses, children, and parents, under different types of family visas. Each visa type has specific requirements and durations. Here’s a breakdown of the family visas we assist with:

Eligibility for Family Visa Sponsorship

Eligibility: You can sponsor your spouse (husband or wife) if you meet the minimum salary requirement (AED 4,000 with accommodation).

AED 10,000 to AED 20,000 with accommodation for sponsoring parents (may vary according to the emirates).

To sponsor a family visa in the UAE, sponsors must meet the following criteria:

Documents Required:
  • Passport copies (Sponsor & Spouse)
  • Marriage certificate (attested)
  • Sponsor’s salary certificate or labor contract
  • Residency permit copy (Sponsor)
  • Passport-size photos (white background)

Step-by-Step Procedure for UAE Family Visa

  • Apply for an Entry Permit: If the applicant is outside the UAE, an Entry Permit is required to allow them to enter the UAE.
  • Change of Status (if applicable): If the dependent is already in the UAE on a visit or tourist visa, the sponsor must apply for an in-country visa status change after getting the entry permit. This step allows the dependent to transition from a visit visa to a residency visa without leaving the country.
  • Medical Screening Application: Required for applicants aged 18 and above. List of approved medical centers.
  • Emirates ID Application: Schedule biometrics at a convenient location. More information here.
  • Visa Stamping Application: Complete after medical and Emirates ID applications. Note: Physical visa stamping is now replaced by an e-visa.
  • Biometrics Submission: Required for Emirates ID processing.
  • Receipt of Emirates ID: Delivered directly to your residence

Renewal Process

Family visas must be renewed before they expire to avoid fines. The renewal process involves similar steps, including:

  • Medical fitness test (for adults)
  • Updated Emirates ID
  • Renewed health insurance
